The Driving Force Behind ek Private: Meet Our Growing Team

As ek Private Advisory continues to evolve, so does the team behind the firm. Over the past year, we have expanded our capabilities across advice, client service, operations, brand and communications, strengthening the infrastructure around our clients while maintaining the highly personal approach on which ek Private was built.

Across different responsibilities and perspectives, the team shares one objective: helping clients navigate complexity with greater clarity and confidence.

That thinking is central to Karam’s approach to private advice.

Karam Singh, Managing Partner at ek Private, leads a bespoke advisory practice for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and businesses navigating wealth, transition and legacy. His approach combines technical expertise with empathy-led problem solving, recognising that good advice requires an understanding not only of someone’s financial position, but of the people, relationships and ambitions surrounding it.

As ek Private grows, maintaining that human-first philosophy remains fundamental.

Expanding the depth behind our advice

Alongside Karam, Kim Baxter, Director at ek Private, supports high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and businesses across investment, portfolio and cross-border considerations.

His exposure to different markets, cultures and business environments brings a global perspective to client conversations, particularly as geopolitical events, economic conditions and market movements increasingly intersect with personal financial decisions.

Together, Karam and Kim strengthen the senior advisory capability of the firm, providing clients with different perspectives on an increasingly interconnected financial world.

However, delivering highly personalised advice also depends on what happens behind the conversation. That is where our growing client service and operational support team plays an important role.

Pavla Sladkova, Advice Assistant at ek Private, joined the firm in July 2026, supporting advisers and clients across advice administration, documentation, onboarding and review preparation. Her experience across financial services, professional services and client service brings structure and attention to detail to the processes behind the delivery of advice.

Kyra Gottaas, Executive Assistant to the Managing Partner at ek Private, also joined the firm in July 2026, supporting the day-to-day coordination of the business and helping ensure the experience surrounding each client relationship remains thoughtful, organised and personal. Her role spans client coordination, meeting preparation, diary and travel management, and a range of broader business priorities.

Their appointments increase the support around our advisers and, importantly, the capacity of the business to continue delivering a high level of service as ek Private grows.

Building the ek Private brand

Growth also means being clearer about who we are, what we believe, and the conversations we want to contribute to.

Kat Gamis, Brand and Marketing Manager at ek Private, joined the firm in November 2025, leading the firm’s brand, content, digital presence and communications.

With international marketing experience across North America, Europe and Australia, Kat works across brand strategy, storytelling and data-led execution, helping translate complex financial and advisory themes into clear and engaging communications.

Her work supports ek Private’s continued positioning among high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and globally mobile clients, while creating new ways for the firm to share its thinking, perspectives and people with a broader audience.

Evolving to what’s next

The growth of our team reflects the continued evolution of ek Private. This is only the beginning.

We are deliberately building the capability, systems and relationships required to support clients over the long term, while remaining nimble enough to respond when circumstances change.

Businesses grow and get sold. Families expand. Generations change. Markets move. People relocate. Priorities evolve.

The role of a trusted adviser is not simply to respond to those moments individually, but to understand how they connect.

As ek Private grows, that remains at the centre of what we are building: a team capable of seeing the wider picture while never losing sight of the individual within it.

For people with stories.
